Question 1

How many Panda Corydoras should be kept together?

Accepted Answer

Keep at least six Panda Corydoras together. They are social fish that feel more secure and display more natural behavior in a group of their own species.

Question 2

What temperature is best for Panda Corydoras?

Accepted Answer

Aim for approximately 72–77°F (22–25°C). Stable conditions within this range help support their long-term health and simplify the selection of compatible tank mates.

Question 3

Can Panda Corydoras live with Neon Tetras?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Neon Tetras can be suitable companions because they are generally peaceful and have overlapping temperature preferences. Keep both species in appropriate groups and confirm that the aquarium has enough space for their combined adult population.

Question 4

Do Panda Corydoras need sand?

Accepted Answer

Fine sand is preferred because it allows natural foraging and reduces the risk of abrasion around their sensitive barbels. Smooth, rounded gravel can also work if it has no sharp edges.

Question 5

Do Panda Corydoras clean the aquarium?

Accepted Answer

They forage along the bottom, but they do not replace routine cleaning. They need a complete diet of sinking foods, and uneaten material and waste must still be removed through normal aquarium maintenance.
